The surgery is over!!!!

Just a quick note to let you all know that Lance was a trooper today. His surgery went very fast and with no problems. I have attached a picture of Lance right when he came out of recovery. He is holding his mommies finger. We love you very much Lance!!!!

They are going to do his first feeding tonight at about 11:00 and continue feedings and as soon as he can tolerate the feedings he gets to come home. They anticipate some time tomorrow.

When I was there they gave him a dose of some pain medication. Man he was out like a light!
But he is doing a lot better.

Thank God!!! I'm so glad all went well. How long will he be in the hospital?

Dee- I just talked to shelly and they are working up his feedings so the most crucial feeding will be at 10:00 PM. This will be the second full dose of formula and if he holds that down he should be in the clear to go home. But they are going to wait till the morning to be released. You should go visit them tonight if you have time. I am sure they will enjoy the company.

Dee- I got to feed him his first formula bottle this afternoon and he tolerated it really well. It was half water and half formula. Shelly just called and told me they were feeding him another half/half mixture and then at 7:00 PM they will start full dose.
