memorial weekend!

Well we are off again to go camping. This is our third trip in seven weeks. I am getting a little burned out. We are supposed to be going next weekend too but I think I am going to have to pass on that one. We really just need to concentrate on our house for the next little while.

We got our appliances. They are beautiful. I can barely remember what our kitchen looked like before we started. I wish we would have taken pictures. I was 21 when we bought the house and we didn't have any money to do too much fixing up when we first bought it so basically wall paper got torn down and everything got a coat of paint and we called it good for awhile. Since then we have slowly done things. We took the 1970's out of the house (mirrors tiles on the walls with gold veins running through it, dark 1970's cabinets) and the house looks new inside now. I am proud of all the work we have put into this home. I am also excited to finish our upcoming project We are putting in french doors out our kitchen and adding a big deck. This will open up our small kitchen so we can entertain more people.

Anyway we are heading out tomorrow and we will be back on monday. It is close too so we don't have alot of traveling to do YEAH! I hope everyone has a great memorial weekend and a safe one too. We will be home early on monday so we can make our visits to our son's grave and some grandparents too. This time of year is very humbling for me. I always have alot of emotion when we visit all of our loved ones that we miss so terribly. I do love reliving the great memories I have for each person when we visit though.

Look at the bright side!

For the last few days we have had problems with our power fluctuation and part of the house loosing power. After ignoring it I started not feeling right about it. I kept worrying the house was going to blow up or something(I am a little neurotic sometimes) So last night it was doing it real bad so we decided to call the power company at midnight to have them look at it. Evidently they changed our meter to a digital reader since then we have had problems. Well the power company came out and pulled the box off and one of the lines coming into our house was totally arching. Rick told them to take it off because it is right next to parkers room and we didn't want a bar b qed parker in the morning. So right now our house is on half power. But the bright side is my computer still has power, our fridges still have power, the dryer but not the washer has power (meaning, DARN I can't do laundry today)and the televisions still work. So our electrician is our brother in law and he is in canada right now (go figure) So he is sending one of his workers over to fix it this afternoon. This will probably be a $300 fix and that is cost plus we will pay the hourly wage for my brother in laws employee. I swear this old house loves to nickle and dime us to death.

As I promised!

Okay here are the pictures I promised from our last camping trip.

POSERS!!!!!

Workin hard

Finally finished with project TEE-PEE

I took alot more pictures but some of the pictures had the turkeys that were hunted in them. I respect everyones individual opinions when it comes to hunting wild game so I decided not to post the pictures here.

Anyway there you have it. My nephew Garrett, Parker and Deshawn decided to build them a "no girls allowed" teepee and they had a blast.

another busy week!

Well I have another busy week. Sometimes I wonder how in the world would I ever get anything done if I worked a regular job. Yesterday I got up took adam to school came home made some homemade whole wheat waffles for the boys. Then I cleaned up the kitchen, put laundry in, payed bills, made a grocery list, got dressed, threw on a hat (sexy I know) took parker to school, went to the bank, went grocery shopping, came home, put grocery's away, made lunch for dee, made lunch for me, Finally got to sit down to eat while watching the last half of my soaps. Then the boys got homefrom school. I then helped adam with his homework, took him to tutoring, ran to the post office, got gas, I took a couple minutes and drove around since parker fell asleep, picked adam up from tutoring, came home and started dinner, We ate and then I cleaned up dinner and the rest was history.

Tell me where in that day did I have tome to work? It is a crazy world these days. The rest of my week is busy too. Today I take Dee to his behavioral doc. Then I get them home and off to school and then I have tonz of cleaning to catch up on. Then when the boys get home Adam goes straight to tutoring and then he has a game right after that. The younger boys have dentist appt tommorrow. I have a doc appt in the afternoon. On Thursday my appliances come. Friday is still up in the air but I am sure something will come up. CRAZY!!

I know I know

It has been forever since I have posted but I have been one busy mama. We went on a turkey hunt trip this past weekend and got home late on Tuesday. All week I have been playing catch up. I did however go to our local mayta.g store and ORDER ALL NEW STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES! How fun is that? When we decided not to move I promised myself that we would get the things in this house that we wanted in the new house and well there was a great sale and well the rest is history. I did get some pictures of the boys out camping so I will post them when I get a chance to get the pictures put on my computer.

Well I am off for a girls night out YEAH! We don't even know what we are doing yet but we know we all needed a night out with the girls.

Anyway I will post again soon.

I am suing micky d's

Okay has anyone bought a happy meal for their kids recently? OMG they have put these stupid american Ido.l toys in them. They are seriously going to make me have a nervous breakdown. They are the most anoying toy I think they have ever given out. They play this ear piercing music. Of course I have three of them going at the same time over and over again. I think they might "accidently" get lost. I don't deal well with noisey toys. On a more positive note though it is freeking adorable to watch them dance to it :)
