Freekin out a little

I just got a phone call requesting me to come and do an interview for a call center job. I haven't worked in 5 years and I have mommy brain. I am totally freeked out that I am going to make a complete idiot of myself. It is a full time position which I only wanted something part time but I am not having much luck finding anything part time so I might have to do the full time thing. I will just have to sacrifice some sleep. I asked them if I could work swing shift and they seemed excited that I was asking for swings so who knows.

I tore my house apart looking for my old resume and I just have to make a few changes to it. The only thing that has me concerned is that I have worked way better jobs than this and I am hoping that they don't play the whole "overqualified" thing. I realize that this is a step down but for right now it is what works. I have a Medical Assisting degree and I worked in the banking field for several years but I cannot go back to either of those because they are mainly all day jobs and for right now that won't work for us. I still have three boys who need me. This way I can be available for them during the days. So as far as sleep goes I figure I will only be missing out on some sleep for the next four months. After that summer will hit and I can get Adam to help me with the boys in the summer so I can catch up on some sleep. Then after summer all of my kids will be in school full time and I can sleep when they are in school.

I just hope this is really what I should be doing. I am so afraid my house is going to fall apart and I am not going to get any sleep. The mixture of dirty house and no sleep makes a not so nice mommy :)

another year older

Well folks I made it another year. I am officially the ripe ole age of 32 now. OMG that feels so old. I can still remember when my mom turned 30 and I thought she was sooooo old. Now I am 32 and I still feel like I am 20. I feel like it was just yesterday that I married Rick and now we are about to have our 13 year anniversary. To think all we have been through in those years. Loosing a baby, having 2 more, adopting a baby, buying a home, loosing jobs, quiting jobs, getting new jobs and finally feeling like we have our family all intact. It's funny how fast time flies.

Anyway for those of you that don't know this I am a twin. Me and my twin have only spent 1 birthday apart since we were born. That was because she lived in Denver and the weather was crappy so we didn't. Well even though she only lives 30 minutes from me we are not spending our birthday together this year. She really feels like she just wants to spend her day going to the movies and spending time with her husband. I am a little bummed after all it is my birthday too but I can understand needing a break too. Especially since she has alot on her plate right now. So I am wishing her a happy birthday and I hope she has a great night.

something new

Okay so I have really started getting addicted to facebook for some reason. I actually joined awhile ago but never seemed to really get into it. But I started to get more friend requests and I am reconnecting with long lost friends and it is so nice to be able to see how everyone in my past is doing. The only bad thing is it makes me think of the past alot too. Then I really miss my past. I love my life now but I do miss the care free days with my friends and church groups. I was oblivious to what real life was all about then. We had such amazing times. I miss my best friends growing up. They are not my friends anymore and I can't even remember why we are not friends anymore. I got married before all my friends and Rick was most definitely not in my group of friends and that may have been a part of that but I still never thought we would not be friends as adults. Makes me sad sometimes. It's weird how I don't even talk to the people who were such a big part of my life. Life's weird sometimes.

Enough with that. On to cuter things, my adorable children. Adam is playing basketball right now and he loves it. I think basketball is his favorite sport but he loves all sports. As far as Dee goes there is not too much to report on him. He is doing good. He amazes us everyday with his wonderful spirit. Parker he is so funny. Right now his school is doing a reading contest and he is determined to win a jazz jersey. Since he is only in kindergarten I highly doubt he will win but he is trying hard. I am always proud of my boys. Well maybe I am not so proud when they are being stinkers but I still love em.

Busy Busy!

This weekend has gone by so stinkin fast. Friday night we went over to my parents house and Rick mudded (is that even a word)a bedroom in my parents basement. We ended up leaving Deshawn so he could have a sleepover with grandma and grandpa. When we got home we watched a movie and went to bed. Adam had a basketball game on Saturday morning and Grandpa and Grandma Ivie brought Deshawn to the game and we watched Adam play. It is real fun to watch him. He is getting so big and he looks so grown up hangin out with all his buddies. After that I heard about a place in Lehi that was selling bulk dry pasta at a discounted price and I still needed quite a bit for my food storage so after all was said and done I ended up with 118 pounds of different pasta for only $65 What a deal. I know I'm a dork but I love having a food storage. It's so convenient to walk down to my basement and pull something off the shelf to make dinner.

Today we took the boys to see madagascar2 they loved it and they were perfect angels in the theater. When we got home I decided to put the pasta in buckets and get them ready for my food storage. Once I did that I thought why not reorganize and clean things up. Then my laundry room which is right next to my food storage was not looking so good so I cleaned that out too and well I ended up dusting my whole basement and then cleaned my bathroom. Once I get started I just can't stop till it's done.

So this week I hope will be low key. My Birthday is on Wednesday and I am sure we will go out to eat or something. For some reason I am not excited for this birthday. I am turning 32 and it makes me feel old :)

Damn Viruses!

Seriously I have no idea why anyone would want to make a program that would totally destroy someone elses computer.

I opened the wrong email and all hell broke loose on my computer. Then I pull out the rusty ole laptop and for some reason it wasn't connecting to my internet so I sent both my computers with my favorite tech guy aka Brian. I ended up buying a new wireless router and I have my laptop back and it is faster than it has ever been before. I should get my main computer back in the next day or so. Brian I promise to never ever ever open up a greeting card again.

Other than that nothing too exciting here. I am looking for a job. Things are just getting a little too tight. Rick's extra jobs are non-existant (thanks to our crappy economy) plus we are probably going to be oweing on our taxes this year. Then we found out the medical coverage the kids have will not cover Dee's doctor appts and they are pricey since he is a specialist. So I am looking for a part time night job that I can get benefits. Deep down I really don't want to be the one responsible for the insurance but I guess I will have to buck up and be a big girl about it. Especially since I am the one that is uninsurable and we can't buy a private plan. Anywhoo I will update on more of that when I know more.

unexpected date night!

Well last night I was able to leave my children with my sis for the night(per her request). My sis goes through withdrawls without my children so I have to give into her sometimes and just let her take them. She used to live with us and she grew so close to them when she lived here. Of course they equally love to spend time with her too.

So being childless we went to dinner and a movie. We went to the Jordan Commons in hopes to eat at the Mayan and catch a movie. Well plans did not go as expected. The Mayan was FULL and it was like an hour wait so we decided to eat at spaghetti mamas and I really liked it. So after the dinner we went over to the movies and the movie we wanted to see started 20 min prior so we hopped in the car and headed to American Fork to the showhouse there and we got there just in time to see the show. We saw bedtime stories. I thought it was real cute. I would probably rather have rented it than paid $16.50 to see it but it was a date afterall and how often do we get to do that.

To top it all off I got to sleep in this morning and it felt so good. I am not a morning person and I just luf to sleep in. So all in all I would say we have had a great weekend. Now I want my kids back and I have to wait till this evening :(

Pictured above is what happens when they stay with my sis!

What a slacker

I know I have been a total slacker lately. With the holidays and the fact Rick has had alot of time off work I just can't seem to get my grove back. Don't get me wrong I LOVE having Rick around but I am not use to having him around so much so I don't run in the same routine when he is home. Plus when he is not working I am stressing about wether or not he will have a job. Good times, Good times :)

I have to do a quick shout out to my nephew Preston. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! His birthday was on sunday and we got together at my cousins house to celebrate it and our late family christmas. It was a blast. The kids destroyed the playroom (sorry Miss Riley). We ate delicious food and played some WII. Here are a couple pics from the evening (thanks Dee for sending me these pics)

The New Year!

Wow three posts in one day. There should be a medal for that. Anyway I am finally getting a chance to update my blog a little.

So for New Years we decided to stay home and we had my sister her hubby and their little guy over for some good ole guitar hero and karaoke. It was fun to just goof off with my sis like we did in the good old days.

Here are some pics from New Years Eve and New Years Day. We decided to go out to Ricks parents house yesterday and pull the kids around with the 4 wheeler. They had so much fun.

Christmas fun!

So we had a great christmas. Although I struggled this year with the christmas spirit I still had a great christmas. How could I not when I am blessed with 3 beautiful boys and a wonderful husband.

This video is poor quality. It is from my digital camera and it doesn't do a very good job but I thought it was better than nothing.

Here are a few pics I snapped christmas morning.

Let's not forget who the real kid is!

Our new family member

Deshawn got a bird and absolutly loves it. Here are some pics of the night we brought it home.
