Super busy, Super sick!!!

Okay I know it was been a while since I posted so lets do a catch up. Uhhmmm let's see the two younger boys (Parker and Dee) started soccer this Saturday. Can I say OH MY GOSH HOW STINKIN CUTE ARE THEY!!! They were so excited to start soccer. They had their first practice on the Friday before. Dee did soooo good. Parker well I think he still might be on the young side. At the game Dee participated the whole time while Parker pooped out after 15 minutes or so. We are just going to continue to let them participate as much as they are comfortable. After all at this age it isn't about winning it is about getting familiar with the sport.

After the game we decided to empty out our storage unit. We originally got it to declutter and then to move the rest of our stuff when we sold our house. Well since we decided to stay we decided it was stupid to waste our money on a storage unit since those puppies aren't cheap.

Then we went to Genola. Rick's parent live there and we had our trailer at their house for awhile. Well since it is creeping up on the deer hunts (less than 3 weeks away) we decided to bring it home and clean it real good. Rick is also going to work on the heater. It stopped working the last time we went out and I refuse to go without again.

Sunday was a super fun but exhausting day. We decided to go to the Timp.anogos Cav.es in American Fork Can.yon. We hiked our butts off. I seriously forgot how hard that hike was. I feel bad because Rick had to carry Dee the entire time. I could barley make it myself. All I had to do is hold Parkers hand the whole time and I thought that was hard. It took us about 90 minutes to get to the cave and it is straight up hill. It took us about an hour to get back down. It was still hard coming back down because it was steep and it hurt the shins a little (when I say a little I meant alot). I ate several snacks along the way but by the time we made it down I had such low blood sugar I was very woozy. Luckily, they had a little snack area. I ordered a personal pizza and french fries. By the time we got home I took my sugars and they were still 67 (norm 80-120) holey cow I ate some serious carbs and I was still too low. Needless to say I was pissed off at this stupid disease I have. I don't want anything to stand in my way of doing anything I want. Everyone says you can live a normal lifestyle with diabetes but I beg to differ. I know I can still do anything I want but I can't do it carefree. I always have to wonder if I am going to go low or If I eat that am I going to be too high. If I hike (which I do alot of) how do I handle it so I don't go too low. I know I am supposed to eat an extra 15 carbs for 30 minutes of exercise so I know how to calculate it but DAMNIT why should I have to. Sorry about the little rave I am still having issues with this whole diabetes thing.

Monday--- Well Monday was not so good. Can you say BARF!!!! Yeah that's what I was doing all morning. I hate to puke. I was sick most of the day and my legs HURT! I was so sore on Monday it literally felt like I was having charley horses every time I would move my legs.

Tues-- Well I felt alot better today. I am still a little sore but I can handle it today. So I decided today was the day I was going to start school clothes shopping. Shoot me in the head now what was I thinking. I took all three boys to kh.ols to get some shoes. It took us over an hour to pick out shoes for everyone and we still ended up not getting any for Adam. We had to go over to famou.s f.ootwear. We finally found some cute (I mean cool) ones there. Then when Rick got home from work me and Adam decided to go to Park City to the outlet stores. I seriously finished all three boys school clothes shopping today. Yeah I know I ROCK! I can't believe I did it. I was determined to beat the crowds and the weather was a little cloudy so the temps were awesome. The only sucky part about the whole trip was the drive back down provo canyon in the dark. I seriously can't see more than 10 feet infront of me in the dark. The canyon is also under a whole lot of constuction so the lines in the roads are crap. When I got home tonight I hurt from being so tense. But all in all it was a successful day.

I have pics to post but I can't locate my camera. I think Adam has it in his backpack and it is late so I don't want to bug him. I will post tomorrow.

Congratulations if you made it to the end of this post.

24th of July!

Well today was our state holiday and by some miracle Rick was told he could take the day off. So we decided to take off and leave the house for the day. So we decided we were going to go fishing. I loaded up the car with extra clothes, sunscreen, fishing poles, chairs and the cooler and we were on our way. Well we decided it would be better to wait till later in the afternoon to start fishing so we thought why not go to the Hebe.r Valley Rail.road and check it out. When I was a little girl I remember there being a museum and a place where they would take old fashioned pictures so we tried to find it. Well lets just say things have changed since then. All of the buildings they used for the museums and photography place are now art galleries. Not really what we had in mind with the little ones and all. So I looked all around and the trains were not there anymore so I found the address to the train station and went over there. We decided to do the 2:00 train ride. But it was only 11:30 so we went over to Park City for lunch. We had lunch and started to head back to Heber to the train station and took a small detour (since the kids were all sound asleep) to the jordanelle dam and through to Kamas since I have never been on that road. Then we headed over to the tracks. Below is a slideshow of our fun 3 hour train ride(please forgive the appearance I thought we were going fishing I didn't think we would actually be in public). The kids had so much fun and they were really well behaved. On our way home we decided to head on over through the Alpine Loop. It had just rained and we rode through with our windows open. The smell was to die for. So serene and peaceful.

Oh yeah I had to change the look of my blog temporarily to get the slideshow to work. My other page kept cutting off the images. I will change back shortly I just want to give you all a chance to see the whole images.

Busy weekend!

Well we had one of those busy kindof weekends. Saturday we cleaned our house first thing and then we ran errands and come home had lunch and put the boys down for a nap. But the boys decided they did not need a nap. I hate it when they do that. So we had a fun afternoon playing instead of napping. Then I went to my family bunko game. We always have alot of fun. It got really crazy. I actually won most wins. I was shocked because I have never won any prizes at bunko. I won a little tool kit. It is perfect for me and my little project around the house. Then after we were done playing their city was having fireworks so I ran home and got Adam so he could see them too.

Sunday we got up got ready and I had to make a salad and then we were off to my parents house for a lunch with Gloria. Gloria is my grandma's best friend. They have been friends since they were young mothers. My grandma died a few years ago and Gloria still keeps in contact with my mom. Well gloria had bought little outfits for all of my mom's grandkids. Such a sweetheart she is. She said she just wanted to spoil them because grandma is not here to do it. I think my grandma had a great friend in her. Wouldn't that be awesome to have a best friend for that many years. WOW!

Before Gloria went home we dug out some old pics from grandma's house. We had a good laugh at our 80's doo's. Oh my hell what was I thinking!!!!! Rick had a great laugh. Big hair and stonewashed miniskirts. OUCH! (Oh Yeah Dee if you are reading this there were some great ones of you too:)

Anyway we drove to Rick's parents house to say hi since we were near them and of course they weren't home. So we drove home and did nothing of great importance the rest of the evening. All in all a great weekend.

I tried to take pictures of the boys in their new outfits and they were being stinkers and wouldn't cooperate so I gave up. I want to get pictures of all the grandkids in their outfits so my mom can have a picture with all of the grandkids. But we will have to wait a couple of weeks for that.

I left a picture of Rick's Family portraits we had done in December. This family has sure grown since I joined the clan. I am very greatful for everyone of them in my life. His family is wonderful.

Never enough time in a day

I swear there is never enough time in a day anymore. I remember when I was a teenager and I loafed around bored during the summer. For the life of me I cannot figure out how I was ever bored.

For me my day starts out with running Adam to swimming lessons at 9:25 and picking him up at 10:00. So instead of driving back home for 30 min I go get a drink or pay bills or run to the bank or post office. Ya know all those little errands. Then we are off to home. We spend a couple of hours on chores and then the boys are itching to get in their pool. So we spend a couple hours enjoying the over 100 degree weather. Then it is lunch time. After lunch is my favorite time of the day. It is either time for a movie or nap. I usually surf my blogs for awhile and then it is time for my 1 hour of soaps. (yes I love my Genera.l Hosp.ital) Then I usually fold laundry or some other kindof chore and then it is time to start thinking dinner. After I prepare dinner we eat, clean up and then we go for a walk or something to keep ourselves busy instead of lazy and then by the time we get home what do you know it is bedtime. Wow!!! Everyday is almost the same with a couple tweeks here and there. Crazy how time flies when you get older.

I left a picture of the boys when they were just babies. Except Adam and he is about 5 years old.

The surgery is over!!!!

Just a quick note to let you all know that Lance was a trooper today. His surgery went very fast and with no problems. I have attached a picture of Lance right when he came out of recovery. He is holding his mommies finger. We love you very much Lance!!!!

They are going to do his first feeding tonight at about 11:00 and continue feedings and as soon as he can tolerate the feedings he gets to come home. They anticipate some time tomorrow.

Prayers Needed

I just wanted to ask for extra prayers and good vibes sent to my new little nephew Lance. He has been very ill and is on his way to Pr.imary Chil.dren's Hos.pital in S.alt La.ke Cit.y for surgery on his bowel. I will post more later

UPDATE: Okay I just got home from prima.ry chil.drens and they are super busy and probably won't get to the surgery until tomorrow morning hopefully. Lance has a condition called pyloric stenosis. It is not his bowels it is a stomach thing. Basically at the bottom of the stomach where the food goes into the intestine there is a little valve and that valve is not opening. So he is extremely dehydrated because he has been vomiting so much and he is pretty lethargic. I feel so horrible for him. I sat and held him for quite awhile and he is so precious. He is really hungry and is sucking on his binki and his mouth is so dry. They can't feed him or he turns into the exorcist. Projectile puking from what they said. Anyhow I will update tomorrow when I know more.

BOYS!!!! I said don't let the dogs out.

Today has been kindof gloomy. We have had rain today which is great because we really need it but it is still hot and add moisture to that and well..... It is extremely humid.

So the two youngest wanted to play outside. I still had dishes to do and throw some laundry in before I could go out. So I told them if they want to go in the backyard and play they could but they can't let the dogs out. So I open my kitchen window and keep an ear out for them. They were being super cute. I just signed them up for soccer so they were "practicing" soccer. So I just finish my dishes and what do I hear the jingling of the dog tags. So I scramble to find my bra, put it on, and rush to the door. Mind you I am still very much in a horrific state. So I find both dogs across the street and a couple houses down. This is the one house (of course) that I didn't want them. This lady is maybe 2 years older than me. She is the "HO" (oh yeah I said it, and meant it) of the neighborhood. She starts screaming at my dogs. So I get ahold of both of them and start heading back home. Then the kids decide they need to help mom. And I loose hold of them again. uuuuugggghhhh!!!!!! Anyway we proceeded to follow them into another back yard of a neighbor and start yelling for them to come out of the yard and their parrot starts screeming. ROXY!!!! ROXY!!!! come on come on. I couldn't help but laugh when I finally got home and could still hear that damn parrot screaming my dogs name.

So I get them in their kennels and realize I am drenched in sweat. YUCK! I wasn't really hot but the humidity just made it seem that way. So the boys are now tucked in their little beds for a nighty night. We'll see how long that lasts.

another lazy sunday!

Well today was pretty much a lazy sunday. I had my computer guy a.k.a Brian over to try to fix my sicko puter and well he is going to crash my system and start all over. Thanks goodness I know a great computer guy. I wouldn't know what to do.

After he went home we went for a ride through alpine loop and then we went to my sister's house in provo. She cut all of my guys hair and they were all very handsome afterwards. They were waaaaaayyyyy overdo for a haircut.

Other than that nothing to great. We figure we better relax now because when we start the addition we will be going non-stop for a few months.

Anyway I am challenging everyone to leave me a comment. Even if you just say hi. It makes me feel special so come on people!!! Also I have a map of friends on the bottom of my blog so leave me a pic. (you really don't have to but I am challenging ya)

I am shocked

Free Online Dating

Mingle2 - Free Online Dating

I am so shocked I thought I would be a alot worse rating. J/k I do try to be on my best behavior for my blogger friends.

Well I did it....

I officially took my house off the market today. We are going to press on with the add on. First step is financing so keep your fingers crossed that we can get through this smoothly. I feel really relieved. Which surprises me because I was adamant about getting a new house at first but we have updated the entire house so it will be like new when we are done so I am really excited.

Not so happy 4th of july

Well today started out a little rough for one of my little guys. The middle one to be exact. The poor little guy started throwing up at 5:00 am. I am still not sure what it was that made him so sick. Maybe he had a little stomach flu. Oh I hope the other boys don't get it.

Well every 4th of july my husbands maternal family has a family reunion. We usually have a potluck and visit and of course lots of pictures. Well I wasn't sure if we would make it since my little guy was so sick but miraculously he was fine when it was time to go. I decided that we would probably be fine. I had already made deviled eggs so we went.

Let's just say that was a mistake. When we first got there he was playing on the merry go round. He was having a blast. Then he started to act tired. So me in my infinite wisdom think well he was up early so he must be exhausted. Wrong!!!!! The poor little guy threw up all over the husband ewe!!!!!! So we hose everyone off (thank goodness is was a very hot day) and it was time to eat. Well of course he doesn't want to eat so we got ourselves plates and made him one too but he didn't even want to look at it. So he sat there watching us eat and BAM! puke everwhere. He did manage to get it on the grass and not us.

Sooooooo....... Long story short we were really not in the mood to eat anymore(imagine that) I think we would have been better off if we would have stayed home and just ate the deviled eggs I made. We would have at least been full.

We decided to leave early and came home and took naps. When we woke up he was cured. He has been such a cutie. We went to the BIG fireworks that our city does and all the boys were freekin adorable. I wish I could take pictures in the night time because during the day we didn't take any since we didn't want any pics of a puking child.

oh yeah we are thinking about taking our house off the market. We are not having too much luck selling it and we are thinking it might be a good idea to add on. The prices of property are so high here that we are estimating it will actually save us around a $100,000. Which let's be honest that is alot of moo-la. I would absolutly love to have a brand new home but with the addition we are looking at over 3000 sq feet. We will be adding a master suite and a family room off the kitchen. We also don't have a garage and we will be adding a garage too. Plus we will probably pour a basement foundation sooooooo.... can you say STORAGE, another POTTY and get this a MEDIA ROOM. I am not to goddy of a person so I don't need a brand new house. I just want the space.

We will know in the next week or so if that is what we decide. We will see.

Anyway I hope everyone had a great 4th. I love being able to celebrate this great country we live in .

It is HOT!!

Oh my gosh I cannot believe how friggin hot it is here. I use to love the heat/sun but now I have very little tolerance for it. Part of the problem is one of the meds I take makes it so I shouldn't be in the sun too much. I swear I can actually feel my skin burning in the heat/sun now.

The heat hasn't deterred my boys from wanting to be outside. They are mostly in their pool if they are outside. I am sure this is the only reason why they would even step outside. They are my little water babies.

Okay so speaking of water, I got my water bill today and it was double the bill it was last month. OUCH!! I noticed they were charging me for secondary water and I have not used it at all. So I called them and they told me they are making all of the residents pay for this regardless of whether they are using it or not. I then started to ask her about the culinary water because we have never had to pay this much for culinary. She said they had raised the price of that in hopes that we will be more apt to using the secondary water. uuugggghhh!! To top it off, If we want to start using the secondary water we have to go in and pay a $100 fee. Okay that just pushed me over the edge. I told her that was the dirtiest thing I have ever heard. She said she agreed. That is just so great that our city employees agree that their city is being dirty.

Okay enough with my ranting. My problem I know. I just needed to vent for a sec.

Oh by the way my computer is really sick and I am using my laptop for now until I can get that fixed sooooo I won't be posting pictures until that is fixed because
I have packed up my software for my camera/pictures and I can't get my camera cord installed on my laptop...... UPDATE: I have figured out how to use another program for my pictures so I plan on taking some cute pics tomorrow.

Oh yeah the picture above is me waving HI. J/K I was testing out my new picture set up.

Anyway I hope everyone has a super fun (not too much fun people) 4TH of July.
